Hello, I’m Matt Shrader. I work at Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Minneapolis. My primary job is to recruit but I also get to teach from time to time, and my primary training is in the area of church history and historical theology. What I spend my time studying comes out of a desire I developed in my M.Div. to understand my own theological heritage better. More than that, I want to use that historical understanding to inform what I do from here going forward. In other words, I’m hooked on theological retrieval. The things I share here are my thoughts on various pieces of this exploration.

I have a Ph.D. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in historical theology, a Th.M. from Central Baptist Theological Seminary (where I now work) in historical theology, and an M.Div. from Faith Baptist Theological Seminary. Here is my CV.
